DeckSight will only be sold on shadetechnik.com moving forward. In the future it is possible it will be available at an overseas distributor for people outside of the US but there are currently no plans for this. The one thing that is certain is it will never be available on Crowd Supply again.

It may at times be in stock or available as pre-order. If the button in the product page of the store says “Pre-Order” that means it is not in stock and is subject to a Pre-order “wave”. If it says “Add to cart” then it is in stock and will ship soon.

The Pre-Order waves were in use briefly before while stock was on hiatus at Crowd Supply but it became generally available as well. Since DeckSight has been completely separated from Crowd Supply (regardless if there is still a page there or not) it will be re-introduced in pre-order waves to help determine if people are able to find their way to this site to place the order and judge demand before committing to a larger stock run.

If Pre-Orders are active, you should not assume it will be in stock for a normal order afterwards or at any time. If you want to order one you are encouraged to place the pre-order.

Info about the specific Pre-Order Wave will be listed below. If the product page says it is currently “Wave 1” at the time of order then the estimated ship date for Wave 1 will be listed and that is what is expected. There will be a listed close date for the pre-order at which time the next one will start if the previous was successful. DeckSight is made to order so after the close of the wave it will be a couple of months before they are shipped and that expected ship date will also be noted.

Each wave is subject to a minimum number of pre-orders. The site does not have a visible counter you can check to see if it is somehow close. Generally if it is reasonably close, Shade Technik will just cover the gap and do start the run anyway. If it is not close in pre-order quantity then the wave will be canceled and pre-orders will be refunded or it could possibly be extended. However if the pre-order wave fails it signals decline in interest and another preorder may not be attempted. So the idea is to get the ball rolling and keep it rolling.

Foreign Orders:

DeckSight is currently only available in the US and Canada. The site is not setup for international shipping and calculating the best shipping rates. At some point this could change as DeckSight is CE marked and can be sold in the EU. If it is not sold in your region then the payment methods and shipping addresses are blocked from order. You should not attempt to circumvent the order blocking, it triggers fraud protections when unaccepted foreign payment methods are entered numerous times.

Pre-Order Cancellation:

Cancellations are subject to a 10% processing fee. Every time the site takes an order or a credit card is processed it costs a percentage of the order so this is not refunded if the order is canceled by the customer, This is no different from a cancellation for in-stock items. If the pre-order wave fails and it is canceled by Shade Technik, the pre-order will be refunded in full.
